Directions

  1. Combine the sugar and water in a small saucepan.
  2. Add the cinnamon sticks.
  3. Bring to a gentle simmer, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  4. Remove from heat and let the cinnamon steep for 20–30 minutes (longer for stronger flavor).
  5. Strain out the sticks and store the syrup in a sealed bottle in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
